We got this for my son when he was 9 months old. He immediately began pushing it around the house, on his knees, as he couldn't yet walk. He would do this on a daily basis, just pushing it from one room to the next, on his knees, and tapping the elephant to start the music, bouncing along energetically.
Now he is 15 months and he continues to play with this toy on a daily basis -- he pushes it around the house (bouncing along in rhythym to the music), runs it into walls, turns the pages of the attached book to look at the pictures, puts the blocks in the slot and laughs when they shoot out the back, and is learning to press the color buttons when we ask him to press the one we name (well, so far he only knows the blue one, but still!). He also likes sitting on the wagon (which he pretty much uses separately from the train). Oh, and he likes to look at all the pictures on the blocks. This is a great toy that keeps him busy and entertained -- EVERY SINGLE DAY.
It was definitely well worth the money we paid for it considering he plays with it daily for the last 6 months.

we got this for our 7 mth old son about 2 months ago and so far this has been an absolute attention grabber. he quickly learned that pressing the number keys sets off the lights on the train. the music is quite tolerable and adult friendly. it is also at a reasonable volume for little ears. i haven't experienced any technical troubles and the batteries that were included have not given out just yet (this toy is on everyday, all day) my son has learned to turn the 'pages' and although he is not old enough to identify letters, he enjoys placing the blocks and removing them from the slots on the train. i often sit with him and i use the chute to grab his attention. so he is now learning to knock the blocks down into the train to see them come out at the other end. the downside i would say is that my son is big for his age and he is quite strong so he pushes this train over quite a lot. he does not use it as a walker, we have a separate toy for that from fisher price. but he does enjoy when i sit him on the addition and push him back and forth. the blocks... well, he bangs them together and has practiced throwing them across the playroom! as long as i sit with him, i expect this toy to be useful with learning his alphabet. other than that, he plays with this toy several times during the day for long stretches.

My son got this toy for his first birthday. It very cute. Has lots of fun features but the wheels hardly turn. He is not yet a pro at walking so even though he can push other toys while walking, this one simply wont go. Weve have hardwoods and I would have though it would roll fine on there but it doesnt.

The activities on this train grow with your child. Katlin was 11 months old when she got this for Christmas. She didn't understand much about what it teaches but she could make it play music and talk. She could also push the train around without the seat. Now she turns the pages one at a time and pushes the blocks into the top to watch them pop out into the seat. She is becoming much more interested in the pictures on the blocks and pushing the number buttons. She also sits on the seat like she's driving the train. And there is still so much more for her to learn. For all the abuse she has given it, there isn't any sign of wear & tear yet. And Gramma loves having something to keep her entertained when she visits!

my dad got this toy for my daughter for her 1 year old birthday. When we first got it, she loved sitting on it while we pushed her around the house (that really tiring for adults). as a walker, it was a little fast for her at first but she quickly got the hang of it. now that she can walk, she still loves to walk with it and being pushed around on it. she loves to dance and clap her hands to the music. the block are nice to size and she is learning to put them onto the train. i do agree with some reviews that it tips over a little too easily when she is trying to put the blocks on but thankfully she doesnt really push it over when she is standing up. overall, a great learning toy that keeps my daughter entertained.
