4 out of 5 stars Puzzle Review   July 27, 2010
Jennifer Rooney (Billerica, Ma, US)
I purchased the puzzles because I needed 12 piece puzzles. I think I could have paid less elsewhere. (TJMax or Marshalls) I wish the puzzles were a bit bigger. I love the Melissa & Doug puzzles, but I have found that the paint does start to scrape off the edges after about 15 or so uses. The actual puzzles fit loosely in the top frame and children with Autism have shown frustration due to this factor. The bigger puzzles have a much tighter fit. Over all it's handy for my line of work. If you are looking for Melissa & Doug items cheap, check out TJMax, Marshals, Home Goods, and Children's Orchid.

5 out of 5 stars Love It!   July 14, 2010

We love this puzzle set. It is easy to sort and keep all the pieces together. My son is 3, and these are great puzzles for his age. My sister saw it and bought her son one too.

5 out of 5 stars my son loves it   June 27, 2010
Carrie Fish (Minnesota)
My 4 year old played with one like this at a friend's house and really liked it, so I bought this one to have at home. It has the perfect sized pieces and not too many pieces per puzzle. It is a bit frustrating at first when all 4 puzzles get dumped and jumbled up, but they are marked on the back to sort them out. The sorting is another educational bonus in my opinion! And, my son has learned that if he dumps them, he is the one sorting them out.

5 out of 5 stars Greater than I expected   May 26, 2010
K. VanLoon (LUDINGTON, MI, US)
When I first got this puzzle, it was smaller than I expected. That didn't stop my son from loving these puzzles though! There are four of them- the lid doubles as a base to do the puzzles on (Loved that), and there are four chambers inside for storing the puzzles. I also love how each puzzle has a different shape printed on the back of the pieces so you know which pieces go to which puzzle. Definitely would recommend this for any kid (within the recommended age range of course)!

5 out of 5 stars Awesome puzzles for 2+ year olds   April 15, 2010
Zucca (Cambridge, MA)
We just got this puzzle set for our 26 month old. She was able to do a large four piece puzzle independently so we thought we'd try something a little more challenging. She needs help with these puzzles but absolutely loves doing them (so much so that playdoh has taken a back seat) and after a few days is able to do parts on her own. It's a great activity for a parent to do with a younger toddler and in addition to the problem solving, we like to use language to help her place the pieces rather than physically showing her so it's great for language development too. And I love that the the pieces can be stored in their own box with the clever sections for each of the four puzzles. We'll be flying at the end of the month and I plan to hide the puzzles for a week before the trip because it'll be a terrific plane activity for her. Highly highly recommended. In fact, I'm about to buy another set as a birthday gift right now.

P.S. We've had to do some minor repair (you'll need some glue or adhesive) which is why I only give 3 stars for durability. Still recommended!

P.P.S. I had to add this quick update: This is the first "toy" that my daughter plays with when she wakes up and the last before she goes to bed. This will become a staple birthday gift for 2 year olds! By far the best $10 I have spent in a long time.
