Worth the $ August 17, 2010 Serenyd When I bought, these, I was thinking "six bucks for crayons?" but there are worth it. They are durable, nice easy to hold shape, but I think my favorite part is the nice box they come in. It's easy for the kids to see and grab what they want and simple to put them away again. My kids never put crayons back in the box before this. I got these for my 2 yr old by my 7 yr old loves them too.
Great crayons, wish that they are bigger July 29, 2010 L. Sullivan (Cumming) We had other M&D crayons that are bigger (thicker and longer), and I wish that these crayons are of that size too. Those are very durable. These ones aren't so much because they are thinner. I've already got 4 broken so far from letting my 2.5 year old played with it for a few times. I love the variety of the colors though, and triangular shape is always nice because they won't roll off the table.
Love these crayons July 14, 2010 S. D. Graham I am a fan of most all M & D products..these are no exception. I like that the shape is easy for the toddlers to grasp. They are durable and no paper for the kids to tear off and throw on the floor. These have been getting used quite frequently and we have only had one break. Bonus that they don't roll of the table so they are also good to take with to restaurants for little ones to color with..one of the things I hate is when the crayons roll off onto restaurants floor and I have to shuffle around to try to get them out from under the table!
Almost too pretty to use July 1, 2010 Amy Giang (San Diego, CA) When these crayons first arrived, I thought to myself they were too pretty to use! It was housed in this pretty case and the crayons look so shiny and smooth and had a very cool triangular shape. We almost left them in there because it was so difficult to open the plastic lid the first time! I could not open the lid and it made my fingers all red from trying to snap it open. My husband eventually got it open for me, but he had some trouble as well. After opening it a few times, it got looser and it was eventually fine. The crayons are very nice and draws very nicely. My boy loves using them. These crayons seems like they're better quality than the regular round-crayola ones. It draws smoother and doesn't leave as much "white" space when you color with these as opposed to the crayola brand. The case it's in is very nice because it's so easy to take them in and out and to see all the colors. I don't like buying crayons in a square box where they are sitting upright because you have to dig your fingers in to pull them out. This case is great and the crayons are great.
Still Testing February 25, 2010 A. Thomas (Supre-Rural Denver) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We have the M&D big version "pyramid" crayons and my daughter has enjoyed them, so I ordered these to add to the color palette. The hardness is a pro 'cause then they do not break easily as regular crayons do when toddler/preschool pressure on the paper. The hardness is a con 'cause these don't work well on cheap grocery store coloring books. Infact M&D crayons work best with decent paper on a hard surface.
This more multi-color set certainly opens up a wider variety of hue which just expands her understanding of color. The crayons themselves were a bit smaller than I expected. First thing she did was break one, purposefully, with two hands. Immediately asked me to fix it, and was disappointed when I knew I could do nothing. :/ Since that first experiment though she's enjoyed them.
